APPARENT LIGHT.

Apparent Light illuminates public space with bold ideas and NEW perspectives.

JuLY 2026

Apparent Light is a site-responsive installation of projection and light-based art, illuminating Peregian Beach Village over two evenings in July.

From dusk, familiar spaces transform—walls become canvases, alleyways glow with ideas and light reveals what often goes unseen.

This after-dark ‘happening’ brings artists, communities and place together through the transformative power of art after dark.

PROGRAM REVEAL COMING SOON — SIGN UP FOR AN INVITE.

MORE :

Apparent Light is a curated happening that brings Peregian Beach Village to life after dark. Featuring the work of 12 artists from across Queenalnd and the globe this event explores realities, truths and perspectives through illumination—literal, symbolic and social.

Light reveals, obscures, distorts and delights—marking time, shaping space and offering new ways of seeing.

This event positions light as a radical act of attention. Working across built, natural and in-between spaces, we are interested in work that disrupts the every-night, activates public sites and deepens our sense of place. From poetic projections and glowing installations to ephemeral gestures of illumination, Apparent Light honours the impermanent, the felt and the fluid.

Apparent light will present artists who work at the edges—interdisciplinary, experimental, community-engaged or deeply personal—and who are interested in light as language, resistance, or resonance. The program foregrounds regional voices, collaborative practice and works that engage audiences not purely as spectators, but as witnesses.

Apparent Light is what we see and how we see it.
